After investigating nearly 2000 manufacturing enterprises, they have four new findings
after investigating nearly 2000 manufacturing enterprises and putting forward thousands of questions for each enterprise, the Institute of quality development strategy of Wuhan University released their research results
The comprehensive survey of Chinese enterprises (CEGs) report () disclosed on the 18th, photographed by Wang Chun, issued by China news service, sketched China's manufacturing industry in transformation and upgrading from multiple dimensions such as innovation, business environment and robot replacementmanufacturing innovation
investment and income increased synchronously
the report found that the average R & D intensity of Chinese manufacturing enterprises surveyed increased from 1.8% to 2.2% in, with an average annual increase of 0.2 percentage points
this means that in horizontal comparison, the average R & D intensity of China's manufacturing industry has been equal to that of developed countries such as France and close to the average level of OECD countries. However, there is still a certain gap between the United States (2.8%) and Japan (3.2%)

it is worth noting that an important reason for the continuous improvement of innovation investment is that the innovation income is also becoming more and more obvious
for enterprises, the most obvious sign of innovation income is the emergence of new products
data show that among the surveyed sales enterprises, the proportion of new product sales in total sales was 24.6% in 2015, which increased significantly in the following two years: 26.4% in 2016, 29.1% in 2017, with an average annual increase of 2.3 percentage points
the gold content of new products also continued to increase
from the technical comparison within the industry, in 2017, among all the new products sold by the surveyed enterprises, the sales of the country's leading new products accounted for 12.6%, an increase of 1.2 percentage points over 2015
however, different types of enterprises also show some differences in innovation capabilities
the report points out that the current lack of innovation momentum of private enterprises, especially small and micro enterprises, is the main challenge that restricts the improvement of innovation ability
microcomputer automatic measurement and control can be realized
among them, the proportion of private enterprises setting up R & D departments is 46.3%, 2.9 percentage points lower than the overall level. Small enterprises also have many shortcomings in innovation. Among them, small enterprises with patents accounted for 17.7%, 23.9 and 39.7 percentage points lower than medium-sized enterprises and large enterprises respectively
manufacturing level
improvement of quality and brand awareness
in addition to technological innovation, enterprises are also constantly improving the quality of products to better meet the market demand for diversified and differentiated products
among the surveyed enterprises, the quality investment has increased significantly by 80.7% in the past three years, and the proportion of enterprises with significantly improved quality level is 85.4%
enterprises' attention to quality stems from the upgrading of people's consumption demand. When asked about the driving force to promote enterprises to improve quality, 43% of enterprises said that the first factor in improving quality was the pull of product demand, which was higher than technology, management, market competition and other reasons

more importantly, enterprises' attention to quality is not limited to quality control, but is concerned at a higher level
the survey shows that among the participants who improve quality through product innovation, the management accounts for as much as 40%, higher than the R & D personnel, indicating that product innovation is not only an issue that the quality department attaches importance to, but also the overall strategy of more and more enterprises
another manifestation of the improvement of quality awareness is the continuous enhancement of enterprise brand awareness
the survey shows that among the surveyed enterprises, enterprises with independent brands accounted for 47.3% in 2017, an increase of 2.3 percentage points over 2016
however, the survey also found that Chinese manufacturing enterprises also faced some constraints and obstacles in the process of quality upgrading. More than 10% of the surveyed enterprises said they had encountered intellectual property infringement. In the face of intellectual property infringement, the proportion of enterprises that choose to file a lawsuit is only 33 Description 8%
machine replacement in manufacturing industry
the impact is becoming increasingly apparent
in order to meet the challenge of the rapid rise of labor costs, enterprises have accelerated the intelligent upgrading of production
at the production end, intelligence is reflected in the introduction of robots
the report points out that among the surveyed enterprises, the proportion of the labor force employed by enterprises using robots in the total sample increased from 12% in 2008 to 37% in 2017, with a rapid increase of about 25 percentage points in 10 years, indicating that about 40% of China's manufacturing labor force has been potentially affected by the use of robots
in this survey sample, the proportion of enterprises using robots was 8.1% in 2015, and this proportion increased to 13.4% in 2017. The average annual growth rate of robot investment in the three years of was as high as 57%
source of change in the proportion of enterprises using robots: China enterprise comprehensive survey (CEGs) report
from the perspective of substitution, the use of robots has replaced 9.4% of employees at junior high school and below in the enterprise, while the number of employees at university and above has increased by 3.6%
according to the report, the impact of robots on different work tasks shows obvious structural differences. Robots replace 3.3% of routine operational tasks with repetitive exercise and physical requirements, and also increase the demand for unconventional cognitive work tasks by 2.7%
on the business side, intelligence is reflected in its impact on decision-making. The survey found that enterprises are using all kinds of data to promote decision-making, and 43.2% of the surveyed enterprises' decisions are largely or completely driven by data
at the same time, 70.5% of enterprises use data to make decisions every day, and 23.7% of enterprises use data to make decisions at least weekly or monthly
manufacturing business environment
improved but still needs to be optimized
as an element of concern, the Institute of quality development strategy of Wuhan University this time focused on investigating enterprises' perception of the business environment
the data shows that the overall score of the surveyed enterprises on the business environment is 7.3 points (evaluated on a 10 point scale)
in terms of specific indicators, the average number of days for enterprises to handle administrative approval per month fell from 14.2 days in 2015 to 4.5 days in 2017, with a cumulative decline of 68.3% in three years. 50.4% of enterprises believed that song Changjiang, the chairman of Anhui Zhongyi tape Co., Ltd., was elected as the chairman of the alliance at the recent meeting, and the cost of administrative examination and approval has decreased over the years

but at the same time, the weak sense of improvement in the business environment is still the pain point for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. The overall evaluation of the business environment of small and medium-sized enterprises is 11% lower than that of large enterprises, of which the normative evaluation of administrative fees is 9.8% lower than that of large enterprises, and the Fairness Evaluation of investment preferences is 13.6% lower than that of large enterprises
among the sample enterprises, large enterprises accounting for 10% accounted for 42% of the financing loans, while other enterprises accounting for 90% obtained 58% of the financing loans, of which small and micro enterprises accounting for 68% only obtained 32% of the loans. All these show that the business environment of enterprises still has room for further optimization
